1. Make sure to have your ring measured by a professional jeweler or please use a ring sizer. The image below will indicate a ring sizer which most jewelers will have in hand.
When sizing, please make sure that the width of the sizer is similar to the width of the ring you are interested in. If you are sized with a very thin sizer the wider band will be tight due to the width difference.
2. Never use a tape measure or string to measure your finger. String can stretch and paper can be easily damaged. Both methods lead to inaccuracies. Also, when you measure ring size this way, you are not taking into consideration the size the ring needs to be to slip over the finger joint or knuckle.
