Limited Lifetime Warranty

Every Happy Laulea piece is made to be worn for a lifetime and passed down. We stand behind our work with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty lasts for as long as the original purchaser owns the piece.

Our team inspects every piece before it ships. In the rare event that a piece has a manufacturing defect, here is how our warranty works.

What is covered

Defects in materials or workmanship that result from how the piece was made. Examples include a solder joint that separates, a crack in the metal not caused by impact, a casting flaw, or an inlay that separates when the piece has not been exposed to water or chemicals.

What we will do

After inspecting the piece, we will repair it. If it cannot be repaired, we will replace it with the same design. If that design has been discontinued, we will offer a similar piece of equal value or store credit. Whether to repair, replace or offer credit is our decision.

Limits

One claim per piece. Each piece is eligible for one warranty claim, whether we repair or replace it. If the same defect returns after our repair, we will address it again at no charge. Repairs and replacements do not restart or extend the warranty. A replacement piece is covered for manufacturing defects for one year from the date we ship it.
Original purchaser only. This warranty covers the original purchaser, or a gift recipient who can provide the original order number. It does not transfer if the piece is sold or passed on.
Purchases from Happy Laulea only. Coverage applies only to pieces bought at happylaulea.com or our Waikiki showroom. Pieces bought from resellers or third-party websites and marketplaces are not covered.
Inspection required. Every claim requires the piece to be sent to our Honolulu workshop for inspection. Photos alone cannot approve a claim.
Our determination. Happy Laulea determines after inspection whether damage is a manufacturing defect and whether a claim is eligible. If it is not a manufacturing defect, we will let you know, quote a paid repair where one is possible, and return the piece. We may deny a claim that is false or exaggerated, or a piece that shows abuse or alteration.

What is not covered

Normal wear, including scratches, dents, scuffs, bending, or a ring losing its round shape. Scratches on solid gold can usually be polished out.
Wear to plating, finishes, oxidizing, or engraving over time. Gold or colored plating wears faster with harsh chemicals, and engraving on plated rings can weaken the plating and cause chipping.
Lost, chipped, or cracked diamonds and gemstones, unless we find a manufacturing defect in the setting
Tungsten, titanium, ceramic, and other hard-metal rings that crack or shatter from impact or pressure. These rings are scratch-resistant but not scratch-proof, and can break if dropped on a hard surface.
Koa wood and other natural inlays damaged by water, chemicals, or sun
Damage from chemicals, chlorine, hot tubs, cleaning products, or hand sanitizer
Accidents, misuse, or neglect
Loss or theft
Resizing or a change in finger size, including from weight loss or gain. See our exchange policy for size exchanges.
Any piece repaired, resized, soldered, stone-set, or otherwise altered by anyone other than Happy Laulea. This ends the warranty for that piece. Routine cleaning or polishing by another jeweler does not.
Free or promotional items, such as the complimentary silicone ring
Re-engraving on a replacement piece, which is available at our standard engraving fee

How to make a claim

Email service@happylaulea.com, call 808-800-3533, or use the message tab on our website. Include your order number and photos of the issue. If we ask you to send the piece in, ship it to our Honolulu workshop with your order number inside. You pay shipping to us. If your claim is approved, we pay return shipping. Repair time depends on the work your piece needs.

Watches

Watches bought at happylaulea.com or through an authorized dealer are covered by a separate 2-year limited warranty from the original purchase date. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, a watch with defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not cover normal wear, batteries, crystal, case, strap, bracelet, loss, or theft. It is void if the caseback is opened, if the watch is exposed to moisture because the crown was not screwed down or pushed in, or if it shows excessive wear or misuse.

Effective date

This warranty applies to purchases made on or after October 18, 2026. Earlier purchases keep the 2-year limited warranty in effect when they were bought.

Legal

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this written warranty. Happy Laulea is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
